It may still say it's summer on the calendar, but down here school is in full gear. It's hard to believe but our little man is now in Kindergarten. Though last year Isaac was in a full day Pre-K program, this year he's in all day Kindergarten and he's loving riding the bus with his big brother and neighborhood friends.
With one week under his belt, Isaac has had 5 "Super Sunny Days" in a row and Mom and Dad couldn't be happier. I'm sure Mary would agree, but I really think last years Pre-K program really helped Isaac with the mental part of being gone all day. Isaac really likes his teacher, has a familiar Pre-K friend in his class, and is making new friends fast.
Trey has moved onto the third grade and has already had his first spelling test of the year. Trey likes his teacher and is excited about the school year. Trey also has a familiar face in his classroom, our neighbor Shannon is in the same class and Trey is enjoying meeting new classmates.
Bugsy had a tough time as the school bus pulled away on the first day. After the boys loaded and the bus pulled away Bugsy turned to Mary with a sad face and started to immediately cry. We're not certain if she was sad that her brothers left her or if she was mad not to be on the bus with them. Either way we felt bad for Bugsy.
