**PLAYOFFS**
Game 1: Dacula Falcons 26, South Gwinnett Comets 0
With the Number 1 ranking, the Dacula Falcons (National South) took on the South Gwinnett Comets in the first round of the 8-year old GFL Playoffs.
Dacula went into the game with an 8-0 record, while the Comets snuck in at 4-4. The Falcons came in looking to kick the Comets out of the game early. Playing on their home field the Comets came out fired-up and ready to play. At the end of the first quarter, the game was tied 0-0 with the Falcons struggling to find their offense.
On the Falcons first possession of the second quarter, the offense were able to rip a 20 yard run for a touchdown and a 7-0 lead. The Comets were unable to recover the ensuing kickoff and the Falcons offense had control of the football again. The Falcons were able to take advantage of the turnover with their second touchdown and went into halftime with a 14-0 lead.
The Falcons kept-up the tough defense throughout the third and fourth quarter. After another quick third quarter touchdown resulting in a 20-0 lead, the second team offense took over most of the third and fourth quarters. The Falcons lead 26-0 after their final fourth quarter scoring drive. Trey had a solid game on offense and did a great job blocking against kids twice his size.
With the win, the Falcons move on to the Quarterfinals where they will face the Duluth Wildcats. Earlier in the year the Falcons beat the Wildcats 24-6, but this is the playoffs and nothing should be taken for granted.
